 Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!  Although we love our Dutch heritage, we now are blessed to be a congregation drawn from many different backgrounds and experiences.  This has enriched us and involved us in our community in good ways.  We want to maintain the rich distinctiveness of the Reformed Christian faith, as well as to embrace the gifts God gives us through bringing us new people, with new talents and perspectives.

 Congregations and Christians make an impact through their day-to-day ministry and through major initiatives.  The major initiatives of our church have been: in the 50’s and 60’s, getting organized and underway; in the 70’s, establishing the ministry of the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship; in the 80’s, joining with other churches to establish Regina Christian School; and in the 90’s, making an intentional turn toward the community in moving to Glencairn and our present facility.

 Now we are well into the 2000’s.  The day-to-day ministry continues to be effective and meaningful to many of us.  But to what is Jesus Christ calling us in this new decade of service?  I believe that Sonlight can be used by God in new and remarkable ways as we embark upon the second half-century of our congregation’s life.  Let’s keep asking, praying and working as we serve Jesus in the times he has given to us now.
